Swallow Press has released the paperback edition of The Last of His Mind. It’s a handsome thing. Pretty much the same cover as the hardbound edition but with some added quotes from Kirkus and Publishers Weekly, and a list of awards:
–A Washington Post Best Book of 2009
–A Publishers Weekly Indie Top 20 Selection
—Foreword Book of the Year award for autobiography/memoir
I’m a paperback kind of guy, myself, and appreciate the lower price.
This also comes at a good time for a talk I’ll be giving next Wednesday, the 23rd, at a course put on by the novelist Janette Turner Hospital at the University of South Carolina—a series of talks and readings, open to the public, called Caught In The Creative Act.
